C.J. Gomez, St. Francis, Sr.: After a solid 2017-18 season, Gomez is positioned to be one of the top multi-sport athletes in Santa Cruz County during the upcoming year.

Last year, he was a key contributor for the St. Francis football, basketball and baseball teams. He was named an All-Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League First Team pitcher in the spring after posting a 1.58 earned run average over nine appearances for the Central Coast Section Division III finalists.

He was also a key contributor off the bench for the Sharks’ basketball team, which made it to the CCS D-V semifinals, and played well for the football team on both offense and defense before injuries derailed his season.

With several starters graduating from both the basketball and baseball teams, Gomez will be at the forefront of those squads’ starting units during his senior year.
