Becka Gayle Lindquist, 13, of Aptos, California, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Dominican Hospital. Becka was born in Santa Cruz, California on August 27, 2003 to Gynnie and Jon Lindquist.
Becka attended New Brighton Middle School where she enjoyed playing on the softball team and taking part in AVID and the Ukulele Club. Becka was actively involved in many different activities including Cheerleading, Horseback riding, and Taiko. During her free time Becka loved to sing with her friends and had plans to join the Choir. Becka also enjoyed spending time with her family collecting seashells on the beach. Becka was looking forward to trying out for the high school football team in the future.
Becka is survived by her mother Gynnie and father Jon (Farmer), sister Elizabeth (Beth) and many loved family members and friends. Becka was a spirited girl that had no fear and wanted to try many different things. Becka will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
There will be a viewing held on Tuesday, May 23 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Santa Cruz Memorial Oakwood Crystal Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz, CA 95065. A public reception will be held on Wednesday, May 24 at 2:30 p.m. at the Santa Cruz Fair Grounds J.J. Crosetti building, located at 2601 E. Lake Ave, Watsonville, CA 95076. All those who wish to honor the memory of Becka are welcome to attend the reception.
