Ernie Arellano, 48, a longtime resident of Watsonville, CA, passed away at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Ernie attended local schools in Watsonville, graduating from Watsonville High School in 1987.  Ernie was a Principal Technical Support Engineer for Oracle Corporation.  He survived several acquisitions in the industry before landing at Oracle fifteen years ago.

Ernie was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and uncle.  He left his imprint on everyone he met.  His wit was second to none.  He was generous and would give his last cent without question.  He was most gracious and humble.  His heart overflowing with love from others and ours overflowing with love from him.

Ernie is survived by Libby, his wife of twenty-eight years, and his sons, Blake and Hunter.  He is also survived by his parents, Jaime and Emma; his siblings, Jaime (Clara), Marco, Jesus (Alma), and Monica (James); sixteen nieces and nephews; and twelve great-nieces and nephews. On the Polly side, he is survived by eight sisters-in-law and seven brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother Joel.

Remember, the birth and death dates are not as important as the dash that falls between.

Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, from 5 – 9 p.m. with the rosary recited at 7 p.m.  Mass will be celebrated at St Patrick’s Church on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 1 p.m.
