Watsonville and Mora high schools graduating classes of 1964 are planning a joint 55th-year reunion on Sept. 28.

Sons in Retirement Luncheon

Aptos Sons in Retirement, a social club for men of retirement age, is having a buffet luncheon and featured presentation by Dr. Michael Freeman, who will speak about the topic of “Game Demo on Terrorism and Counterterrorism Activity.”

The luncheon will take place at Severino’s Restaurant at the Seacliff Inn, 7500 Old Dominion Court, Aptos, Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. It is $24 per person.

Tri-Tip Fundraiser

Association of Watsonville Area Seniors is hosting a Tri-tip fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Watsonville Senior Center on Aug. 31.

Dinner includes beans, garlic bread/rolls and potato salad.

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the Senior Center or from any board member.

School crossing guards needed

The Pajaro Valley Unified School District is looking to hire crossing guards for the 2019-20 school year.

Salud Para La Gente 40th anniversary

Salud Para La Gente is holding its 40th-anniversary celebration and fundraising dinner on Sept. 7 at The Little Bee Barn, 560 Harkins Slough Rd., Watsonville.

It will be an evening of festivities — featuring live music, a silent and live auction, local wine and beer, and a family-style gourmet dinner — in honor of four decades serving the Santa Cruz and North Monterey County communities.
