Dario Barraza died in Watsonville on May 20. He was 87.
A native of Brawley, he lived in Watsonville since 1943. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Following the war he worked as a cook at various restaurants for 40 years.
Mr. Barraza is survived by his son, Dario, Jr. of Los Angeles; daughters, Carmen Pare and Genevieve Johnston of Port Orchard, Washington; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded death by his brother, Bill Barraza.
A Chapel Blessing will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. Viewing will start at 9 a.m.
Burial will be private at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
