Leana Lee (Schiro) Isidro, born April 23, 1945, has gone home to be with the Lord. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, July 16, 2018.

She was preceded by her parents, Luke & Lenora (Hoyle) Schiro. She leaves behind her loving husband of more than 30 years, Joe Isidro; her children Teri Martinez (Tony), Todd Anway (Nicole), Mick Isidro (Danette), and Tammy Isidro; her grandchildren Briana, Anthony, Whitney, Colby, Tiffany and Allura; her great-grandchildren Natalee, Giselle, Jaysen, Kai, Kalani, Milena and Thea; her brother, John Schiro, several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.

Leana loved hats, literally and figuratively. She wore many over her lifetime and had many accomplishments. Hairdresser, cook and waitress, Tupperware and Avon, she graduated from Cabrillo College and worked as computer technician for UCSC until her retirement. She had a passion for horses, and was a Red Hat Lady.

We will remember her for her deep love of the Lord and her family, her lovely generous heart, her infectious laugh, and her friendship.

Special thanks to her caregivers Nicole Anway, Veronica Shallenberger, Vicki Haisch and Dawne Macon-Brown for their unfailing love and devotion to her and our family. Additional thanks to all of the wonderful amazing staff of Hospice of Santa Cruz, we are so grateful for your tremendous support. And God’s Blessings to Pastor Frank Johnson, formerly of Church of the Nazarene, for your timely and gentle visit.

In lieu of services, please honor her with a donation to your favorite charity. She would love that.
