Lady Liberty is right
To the Editor,
All the toxic bickering between President Trump and the Democrats, regarding Trump’s border wall, is like red-hot lava shooting from a volcano. The thousands of walkers trying to make it to the U.S. are just fleeing deplorable conditions in Mexico and Central America and they are simply seeking a better life in the good old U.S.A.
Of course, we will always need firm immigration laws, but how about our country extending some mercy and some grace to these poor and desperate families. The Statue of Liberty has always symbolized open arms and a generous slice of the American dream. Lady Liberty is right!
