WATSONVILLE — Eleven new art pieces now grace the walls of the Pajaro Valley Community Health Trust thanks to the efforts of local artist Jaime Sanchez.

The artist has dressed up numerous walls around Watsonville, including the entire sprawling quad area of Pajaro Valley High and the giant wall across from the Watsonville Plaza.

“I’m just happy because I was allowed to keep my word and do my work the way I like to work,” Sanchez said. “My family and friends are a driving force behind what I do. I just focus on putting out fine work that inspires people. I’m honored to have been invited to show my work here.”

The artwork is on permanent display.

“It is framed and wired in such a way that it can be taken down easily and moved to a new location if they happen to move,” Sanchez said.

Sanchez was also tapped to create the latest poster for the Evening of Wine and Roses, a major fundraiser for the Pajaro Valley Community Health Trust. Signed posters will be available at the event which runs Nov. 3 from 6-9 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
