WATSONVILLE — Rosemarie Imazio, who has served on the PV Water Board of Directors for 20 years, has retired from the board.

Imazio was appointed to the board in February 1998, and during that time she spent five years as vice chair and the past 12 years in the role of board chair.

According to PV Water, as chair Imazio guided the agency through “tumultuous times” and made significant contributions to PV Water’s efforts toward achieving a sustainable Pajaro Valley Groundwater Basin.

In a resolution from PV Water, the organization honored Imazio for her years of service.

“Rosemarie Imazio’s determination and perseverance through contentious times, and, by never losing sight of PV Water’s goals, her ability to conduct meetings in an orderly  fashion, enabled PV Water to achieve many successes,” the resolution reads.
