Mae Catherine Stolich died July 13, 2018, at Montecito Manor.  She was 94. 

A native of Watsonville, her parents, Mitchell and Catherine, had immigrated from Croatia.  Mae attended Moreland Notre Dame grammar and high school.   In August 1941, immediately following graduation, she began working as a bookkeeper for the Stolich family.  In her 69 years there, she worked for three generations of Stolichs: Peter P., Peter L., and David Stolich.  Mae retired in 2010.  She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and the Slavic-American Cultural Organization.

Mae Stolich is survived by her cousins, Robert and Donna Stolich and family; Jon and Barbara Stolich; god-son, John Bobeda; and several other cousins in California, Croatia, and Australia.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Stolich.

Private burial will take place in the family vault at Valley Catholic Cemetery.  Mehl’s Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
