MOSS LANDING — A Moss Landing man was arrested Saturday after allegedly striking a pedestrian on Salinas Road north of Elkhorn Road, and then fleeing the scene.
The pedestrian later died.
Ricardo Javier Manzo, 26, was charged with DUI causing injury, felony hit and run and gross vehicular manslaughter. He was booked into Monterey County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bail, jail records showed.
The collision between Manzo’s Honda and the pedestrian occurred at 10:20 p.m.
Manzo was arrested at a residence in Moss Landing, California Highway Patrol officer Jessica Madueño said.
The incident is under investigation.
