Man arrested on suspicion of drug sales

WATSONVILLE — A Watsonville man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of narcotic sales at his Winchester Drive home.

Around 9:30 a.m. members of the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team’s Gang Task Force served a narcotics search warrant at a residence on the 400 block of Winchester Drive, ending a three-month investigation, said George Rivera, SCCACT Commander.

Officers arrested Juan Lorenzo Garfias-Luquin, 33.

Agents recovered scales, packaging material and 1,115 grams of heroin, with a street value of about $120,000. Agents also seized more than $22,000 in cash, which officers determined to be proceeds from the illegal sales of narcotics.

Garfias-Luquin was taken to Santa Cruz County Jail.
