Maxine Encinias (Sepulveda), beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 31, 2017. She was 52. Maxine was born on December 1, 1964 in Fresno Ca. and raised in Watsonville. 


Maxine is survived by her mother, Mary (Jorge) Bejarano; sister, Veronica (Frank) Rodriguez of Watsonville; brother, Michael (Rowena) Sepulveda of San Juan Bautista; the love of her life, her daughter, Erin Encinias of Pennsylvania; beloved dogs, Rosie and Maddy, and 7 nieces and nephews and 2 grandnieces. 


Maxine will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She will always be remembered for her outgoing personality, her love for life and sense of humor. 


The family would like to thank the doctors, Aziz, Harry and Gram; nurses MJ and Mel; and the staff of Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital and Hospice of the Central Coast for their outstanding care of our loved one. 



A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Valley Catholic Church, 2401 E. Lake Ave., Watsonville, on Friday, Aug. 11 at 1 pm. with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery. Celebration of life to be held at a later date. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements. The family requests in lieu of flowers please make a donation to Hospice of the Central Coast.
