Monte Carpenter of Watsonville died at his home on May 12th.
Mr. Carpenter was a longtime native and graduated from Watsonville High School in 1957.
He leaves behind two children and a granddaughter.
Mr. Carpenter‚Äôs roots run deep in this community. He loved to share stories of family, his childhood, growing up here, and the many good friends he made throughout the years.
Mr. Carpenter leaves a treasured legacy full with his love for family history, traveling, nature, woodworking, fishing, and especially his enjoyment for the California quails.
Monte had the gift of story telling and since we were children, he filled our worlds with wonder, imagination, adventures and funny reasons to our answers of why, just to make us smile. He would love to know that all those stories told will always be remembered and shared with others to live on and on.
There will be no services held at this time. The family invites friends of Monte to contact them at 421-2577 for more information or perhaps share a thoughtful story with us in remembrance of his life. He would really like that.
