Olga H. Garrett passed away peacefully on October 31, 2018. She was 94 years old.

Olga was born in Kaufman, Texas to Muldrue and Susan Westbrook on September 7, 1924. After Olga graduated from high school the family moved to San Luis Obispo where she began working for the phone company. Olga worked for the phone company for 32 years and never missed a day or late a day to work.

Olga met her husband Darrell Garrett in San Luis Obispo while he was attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo College. At that time Darrell did not like the name Olga, so he called her Terry and from then on she was known as Terry. After Darrell graduated from Cal Poly in 1951 they were married and moved to Watsonville.  Darrell and Terry were married for 56 years.  Darrell was a County Ag Inspector until he and Terry started their own business farming strawberries in 1964. They were a founding partner in Well-Pict, Inc. Terry did all the bookkeeping for the farm while she still worked for the phone company.  In 1983 Darrell and Terry joined partnership with their son Steve Garrett until their retirement in 1992.

After her retirement she became a travel agent, where they were able to travel to many different places around the world.  Or they would travel across United States in their motor home.  Terry and Darrell were true best friends; you could always find them traveling or doing projects together. Terry enjoyed cooking, which she was very good at, sewing and reading.  She was a team leader in sewing for the local 4-H club.

Terry is survived by her son, Steven (Patty) Garrett of Corralitos; her daughters Janice (Dave) Morgan of Watsonville; and Barbara Frias of Capitola. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren Miles Garrett, Jennelle Frias and Gracie Frias; 4 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Darrell Garrett in 2007; her oldest son David P. Garrett in 1999; and her oldest grandson Ryan J. Garrett in 2017.
