Organizations get boost from Freedom Rotary

Freedom Rotary Club presented two $1,000 checks to the Agricultural History Project and Digital NEST during its meeting Tuesday at the California Grill. Agricultural History Project, which hosts numerous school groups annually to teach them about the history of agriculture in the Pajaro Valley, will hold its monthly Second Saturday on the Farm event on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Digital NEST is celebrating its third anniversary on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at 318 Union St. in Watsonville. The organization, a learning space for young people interested in a variety of technological disciplines, now has 1,700 members across its Watsonville and Salinas locations, Executive Director Jacob Martinez (second from right) said.
