Palma F Hoge passed away comfortably to be with God October 18, 2018. She was born in Arcadia, WI., June 19, 1932 to Carl & Leona Grotjahn.
She was the office manager for Speas Vinegar Plant on Walker St in Watsonville which sold several times over her for 24 years. She and her late husband Walt, who passed in 1996, loved to square dance. While raising two children and working full time she returned to get her high school diploma in 1969. Palma loved people and continued to travel and square dance. She would travel to the Rio Grande Valley where she would square dance with friends and her sister in Texas. In 2011 she gave up traveling in her motorhome and returned to California.
She leaves behind two children, Kathy Korn of Salinas and Tim Hoge of Seaside. Her granddaughter Jennifer Rule and two great grandchildren, Chloe Jo and Joseph who live in FL. Her remaining sisters live in WI and OK.
There will be a celebration of life in Pacific Grove on Ocean View Blvd, past Lovers Point on the Pacific Grove Point on June 4th at 2 PM. Friends are welcome to attend. (Across the street from 1261 Ocean View Blvd in the turnout on the rocks on the beach.)
