FELTON — A 22-year-old male pedestrian died Thursday afternoon when he was struck by a car on Highway 9.

California Highway Patrol officer Sam Courtney said the victim, who has not been named, was walking south on Highway 9 north of Graham Hill Road when he was struck by a 2000 Toyota 4Runner driven by a 47 year-old man from Boulder Creek at 5 p.m.

Courtney said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
