Mr. Ramon P. Castellanos passed away on August 7, 2017 at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.
He was born on February 14, 1937 to his proud parents Jesus and Soledad Castellanos in Pagueros Jalisco, Mexico.
Mr. Castellanos and his wife Maria came to California and settled in the San Fernando Valley. It was there that he learned the trade of marble installer. Mr. Castellanos moved to Watsonville in 1976 and became a sharecropper with Driscoll Berries for 13 years.  He then went on to work at UCSC until his retirement.
Ramon P. Castellanos is survived by his wife Maria Cruz Castellanos; and his children Susana Castellanos, Jesus Castellanos, Marisela Torres, Ramón Castellanos, Juan Castellanos, Luis Castellanos , Cristina Castellanos, Alberto Castellanos. He is also survived by his siblings Ester, Amparo, Maria Concepcion, Rebecca, Josefina and Juan. He leaves 15 grandchildren: Jaime, Rafael, Julio, Jesse Jr., Karina, Joselyn, Joseph, Jakob, Celine, Elias, Emma, Sophia, Edward, Elisa and Mya; and 5 great-grandchildren: Jayden, Isaac, Jazlyn, Jaklyn and Xavier.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be on August 16th, 2017 at Our Lady Help of Christians at 10:00 AM followed by committal at Valley Public Cemetery.
The family suggests sending donations to ‪JDRF.org (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
