WATSONVILLE — Rickey Dean Bryan died peacefully at a local nursing home on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017. He was 71.

Mr. Bryan was born in Salinas to Charles Bryan and Maria Brown on Nov. 14, 1945. As a young man, he was intrigued with the mechanism of cars, he loved to work on them that he became a certified mechanic. He worked for 50 years in local auto shops and was proud he could diagnose a car problem just by listening to the sound.

Mr. Bryan was also proud to serve his country in the Army. He enjoyed archery and being a member of Black Mountain Bowman Archery Club. Whenever he wanted to relax, he would listen to music or play his guitar. He loved life and especially his family.

He is survived by his brother-law and several generations of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Mehl’s Colonial Chapel was entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
