On Monday, December 11, 2017, Robert Lyle Winterhalder peacefully passed away.
Robert was a graduate of Santa Cruz High School and worked in the lumber industry for more than 50 years. He also proudly served in the National Guard for 20 years. Robert enjoyed photography and travel (having visited 30 countries), trains, gardening and building projects. Bob will be remembered with love by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Winterhalder. Robert is survived by his wife, Carol Winterhalder; and his children Barbette Mylar, Gretchen Moulis and Lyle Winterhalder; and stepchildren Paul, Stephen and Karen Grunert. He is also survived by his siblings Betty Elward, Bill Winterhalder, Georgeanne Capronigro; his 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11 AM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel with gravesite services to follow at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
