WATSONVILLE — Sergio R. Torres died on Monday, July 10, 2017, surrounded by his family at his home in Watsonville. He was 56.

Born to Rosa and Rodolfo Torres in Santa Cruz, he was raised there and later moved to Watsonville.

Mr. Torres owned and operated Torres Tires for 12 years. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars and Harley motorcycles. He loved entertaining and was well known for being the life of the party. Mr. Torres was a loving husband and awesome father and grandfather. He enjoyed his dogs, especially Clyde.

Mr. Torres is survived by his wife, Juanita; three children, Rosemary (Jose) Montoya, Gloria (Josh) Alvarez, and Sergio (Krystal) Torres, Jr.; brother, Hector; sister, Victoria Torres; and 10 grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited Wednesday, July 12 at 7 p.m. at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 13, 11 a.m., at Church of the Assumption.
