On Thursday, February 1, 2018, Thomas Guy Hewett peacefully passed away surrounded by his family in Freedom, CA. He was 84.
Thomas was born on December 12, 1933 in Walters, Oklahoma.
Thomas graduated from Watsonville High School and served as an Air Policeman in the US Air Force. He was later employed with the Watsonville Fire Department and he retired as Captain after 30 years of service. He was also a member of Comanche Nation, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Thelma Hewett.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Erma Jo; and his children, Kathryn (Bill) Tsudama, Sheri Hewett (Troy) Souza, and Thomas G. (Michelle) Hewett Jr. He is also survived by his siblings, Pat Klay and Barbara Ryan; and his grandchildren, Trevor (Mikayla) Souza, Madison Souza, Rachel Tsudama, Chloe Tsudama, Isabella Hewett and Emma Hewett and great-grandchildren; Nolan, Nixon and Kinsley.
On Friday, March 2, 2018 a private graveside service for family and close friends will be held at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park at 11 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life where all are welcome at the Padres Hall in Corralitos at 1:30 PM.
