WATSONVILLE — Two Watsonville men were arrested Thursday after detectives searching their residence found “tens of thousands of dollars” worth of stolen items, Watsonville Police spokeswoman Michelle Pulido said.

This included motorcycles, off-road vehicles, and construction equipment, Pulido said.

The investigation began when officers from the Santa Cruz County Auto Theft Reduction and Enforcement Task Force uncovered a chop shop at a residence on Nona Drive in Watsonville.

Julio Dominguez, 38, and Kyle Roswell, 30, were charged with owning a chop shop, vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of burglary tools.

Dominguez was also charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a vehicle with altered serial numbers and DUI.

Both were booked into Santa Cruz County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
