William F. Boracca died on April 14 at the age of 89.
He was born in Watsonville on Aug. 30, 1929 to Manuel and Emily Boracca. He graduated from Watsonville High School in 1947 and served in the U.S. National Guard.
After his service, he worked as a carpenter for Watsonville Construction and also sold real estate before working with his son, Steve, in construction until retirement. He later moved to Kingsburg, where he resided for the last 30 years.
He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Bay Area Knife Collectors and Oregon Knife Collectors.
He is survived by his spouse Helen Boracca; son Steve Boracca and his wife Marlene; his sister Gertrude Boracca of the Sisters of Notre Dame; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Emily, and his first wife Pauline.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on May 17 at 1 p.m.
